VAN DEN HUL

Is there anyone who has heard of van den hul ddt ii special?
Listens to Jazz, Rock music and some Classic music. Is it good for this?
Has a SME 3009R tonearm. Would VDH ddt ii special work well with that tonearm?

Would VDH ddt ii special work well with that tonearm?
Maybe.  The problem in knowing more is the lack of requisite specifications published on-line by van den Hul for the DDT-II Special.

vdH publishes most specs on the inside of the lid of a cartridge's box.  If you have the cartridge look there, or perhaps ask a dealer who has one to read the specs for you. Typically vdH gives a range for the effective mass of a tonearm to be used with the cartridge..  The effective mass for the SME 3009R is 12.7g. If that's within the vdH published range, you shouldn't have resonance issues.

If you don't have the cartridge or access to a dealer what we need to know is the cartridge's weight in grams and the compliance of its cantilever to calculate the resonance of this combo.  Write to vdH and ask for those specs or if the cartridge mates okay with the 12.7 EM of the arm..
Once you have that information you can use the calculator at Vinyl Engine to determine if your 3009R mates well with the DDT-II in terms of resonance frequency.
