Good of you to notice, but truth is almost all audio equipment with removable cords requires them, so almost all off the shelf power cables have this feature. There is a rare exception, like many Luxman units, which are double insulated and do not require this pin.
There are some models with removable ground pins which you should avoid (not from Cardas).
If you are buying custom cables it is always worth asking though.
