Anyone change record clamp on Basis 2800 turntable?

I'm wondering if anyone has successfully switched/upgraded the stock clamp on the Basis 2800 turntable.  I want to try other clamps but am afraid that they might not create the air tight seal which seems necessary for the vacuum system to work correctly.

I have a 2800 and haven't considered any change to the clamp. Like all things Basis it seems like everything is there for a very specific reason. Just curious, what is the motivation?

Just audiophilia nervosa....wondering if there is some improvement that can be had by changing the clamp.  Probably should just leave well enough alone...

The Shun Mook record clamp works great.

Leave well enough alone.  Others don't hold the seal for the vacuum well enough, and you use a clamp to hold a record flat, which is what your vacuum does.
