I dont know how similar they are to my old 802 series 80's that were damaged when I bought them. The top came off easily on those.Take the mid/tweeter off the top & look for a couple of screws.
Thanks for the response Greenkaw. I've seen a cutaway dwg of the series 80's that show a large bolt holding the head assy onto the cabinet. My series III doesn't have this bolt so I'm struggling with how to get the head separated from the main cabinet to access the fabric top.
