powering multiroom installation

Friend wants to power his multiroom setup and was wanting advice for this setup that he already........(power amps vs receiver) etc
Kitchen (1 pair SpeakerCraft in-ceiling CRS6 6.5 inch)
Dining Room (1 pair SpeakerCraft in-ceiling CRS6 6.5 inch)
Living Room (1 pair SpeakerCraft in-ceiling CRS6 6.5 inch)
Outdoor Patio (2 pairs SpeakerCraft WeatherCraft)
*all rooms have separate volume controls with CAT5 cables back to head end)

Family Room (5.1 Surround Sound)
Front, Center, Rear (5 SpeakerCraft in-ceiling AIM8TWO 8 inch)
Subwoofer (powered passive pinnacle 600)

Checkout the Russound A-bus system. I have the 8 room, 2 zone, 4 input module plus in one room I have a local input connector. I have Speakercraft in a couple of rooms and the system sounds real good.

Add a nice 5.1/7.1 receiver to drive the family speakers and it can also be used as one of the feeds to the A-bus.
