zig zag cable strands

Hi,

Looking for a small cable manufacturer who does speaker wire and power cables. I've forgotten the brand name but the guy who makes the cables have individual strands which look zig zag and if memory serves are nickel coated. I remember he has a patent for it and I was going to do some research on it, but I can't remember the guy who makes these cables. I think he is based out of california. Thanks in advance guys.
