YC-13 vs. C7 Connector on Power Cord

I have an Olive Musica digital music server and just bought a PS Audio C7 power cord for it as an upgrade only to find that it would not fit - turns out the connector is actually a YC-13 - two "round" receptacles vs the one round/one squared-off on a typical C7. Looks like you could round-off the one C7 receptacle to fit however with a sharp knife. Would this work or would it endanger my components?

The one round/one squared configuration is a polarized connection. What would work is a non-polarized cable with a connector that has both sides rounded. Here is a good example:
