YBA Passion phono stage any good?

I have a YBA Passion 100 and am very happy with the way my system sounds with this in it. I have used 3 different speakers with it and use it in my home entertainment and CD system. I decided to set my turntable up and am not happy with the results. I think I have things set up pretty good. Grado TLZ, SME IV.vi arm on immidea table silver head shell leads and Cardes Reference cable. Wondering if I need a different phono stage? The Grado is low otput at 1.5 mv and it takes a lot of turns on the volume control to get it to play.
