Would a Jelco 750 be a drop-in replacement for a Jelco 250s?

I have a first generation Luxman PD171 turntable with the standard arm, a Jelco 250s.

That model did not come with a replacement arm base like the newer PD171A. The only upgrade I can think of is a better arm.

Would a Jelco 750s or 750D be a proper drop-in replacement? I mean, would the same three screws holding the arm on the plinth fit exactly where the original threads are?
