Will a DVD player work with a computer monitor?

I don't want to own a TV (too ugly), so I was wondering if a stand-alone DVD player will work with a computer monitor?

You may even find one with component inputs. Or,check with a company called Audio Authority and they will probably have a convertor to make a regular DVD player work with a computer monitor.
