Why were 291 responses removed about Rap?

I do not care for rap.  It is not music.  I abhor unbridled censorship.  Why were 291 posts systematically removed,  then the post deleted by moderators?   I did have a serious reply, followed by two tamer ones. This is not about me.

Simao, before Rap; Blues, Jazz and R&B were considered the fundamental classifications of Black music. I observe every thing, but as far as being a spokes person, I speak only for self from what I see and hear.

Interesting - and maybe a synecdoche for the divide these threads have revealed on this board.

There are those who hear "Richard Wright" and think of Floyd's keyboardist

There are those who hear "Richard Wright" and think of the great 20th century Black writer and figure

And hopefully there are those who think of both names and know which one to apply

I left out "Gospel", forgive me.

Maybe we should all just stick to instrumentals.
