Why people sell power cord not specify connector

I want to buy some power cord here, but when I check the cords for selling, they don't tell you what is the type of connector (or inlet) that fit. How the buyer solve this problem if it is different type with their equipment, use some adaptor or change the connector by DIY.

The majority of AC cables for sale on Audiogon have the US-Type plug and the 15 Amp (six-sided) connector. Most sellers would specify if either of these factors were different on a particular offering. If you wish to be 100% certain, you can contact the seller by clicking "ask a question" on that posting.
