Why Audiophiles need cats .. watch short video

I'm sure most would agree that dogs pretty much accept us for who we are but that cats insist on seeing our resume first

With that said ... here is a very short video of my cat Frank (who has accepted my resume) helping me run a Subwoofer cable to the back of my equipment cabinet

Turn on the audio and enjoy

I have always had a house cat that joins us for our long, deep listening sessions and they are a great, quite, companions that also sometimes add a bit of useful reverb to a performance.

Actually, the cat closest to  having a dog (I say this knowing that such a comparison is kind of silly) is the Maine Coon. No contest.

It took all of a few hours for a 9 week old Bengal kitty, whose weight is measured in ounces, and a 77 lb Black Labrador Retriever to get used to one another. Maybe there is a lesson there for Audiophiles ? :^)

They are the best of buds now, the dog allows this kitty to climb all over him while he sleeps. It is obvious who the Alpha is.
Dogs are vinyl,  cats are compact discs?
To borrow an argument from another forum,  the fors and againsts for either species are weighted in biases we cannot fault ourselves for possessing since both are founded upon our own peculiarities - not their's.

ct0517, glad to learn that you are having fun with the Bengal. They are awesome cats - highly intelligent and affectionate.

this 9 week old Bengal kitty is quite something. It seemed to know to hit the submit button walking across my laptop. good thing we have edit capability now.
Hahahahaha.  Great clip.

If  my local home automation shop did that it would cost $500.
It's funny watching their ears or head swing back and forth trying to find where the sounds are coming from.  Sometimes they freak out and haul tail out of the room.
CT0517 - Bengal Cats are the closest thing to having a dog, IMO.  My Bengal hangs out with me in the Man Cave.  He has become quite the audiophile and has recognized the differences between my old and new speakers having committed to memory, the reference tracks!
Women and cats will do as they please

We learned yesterday, that our 21 year old daughter (final year of in residence university - no pets allowed). Has decided to acquire and smuggle in a Bengal kitty.

Both will be home for Christmas.
hah, hah funny !  priceless

Only cat owners understand it.

From Robert Heinlein, the science fiction writer :

Anyone who considers protocol unimportant has never dealt with a cat.

Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.

Dogs have owners, cats have staff.

Cats are the spawn of Satan.
hah, hah funny !  priceless

funny video too.

I have to admit, the video was pretty funny.  But I have to ask, would you ask your cat to pull a Nordost Valhalla cable through that hole....LOL!!!!
Actually, that reminds me of something my late father did.

He wanted to run stereo cable under the house, but didn't enjoy the idea of mucking around in the crawl space. He rigged up one of his small dogs with a pull line, had my mother hold the dog at one crawlspace access, and he whistled and held a treat at the other side.

It didn't take long for the dog to cross over to him, with the line.

Now that is pretty funny...and so obvious. How many audiophile/cat lovers are saying, "Why didn't I think of that?!?"
