Why are speakers rarely satisfactory?

The vast majority of audiophiles spend decades or even their entire life searching for speakers that sound right. All of us on this forum are searching for that perfect sound. You would think that out of all the different speakers out there, there would be one that meets a persons requirements. So why are most audiophiles rarely satisfied?
There are literally hundreds of speakers on the market. Surely one of those would very closely match the preferred frequency response being sought, so what is going on here?

@sjeesjie, on the face of it, yes.  But it, and variations of it, get posed frequently.  And Absolutely NO Answer or comment satisfies the query.
To the extent of many pages, and to the frustration and ill will of the responders....

I'm trying to very diplomatic about this....you might look into previous forums for a hysterical, I mean, Historical 'education'.

Welcome to skool.... ;)
"...I've changed my hair style, so many times now, I don't know what I look like!"  (D. Byrne, Talking Heads, 'Life During Wartime')

You do realize that repeating the same (experiment, routine, process, etc.) and expecting a different result....has a name for that desire?

Especially when the result is essentially the same?

Kenjit....you might, at least, formulate a novel and new approach to your query and astound us all.  As of now, you've become a 'locked groove' in the LP of your reality thats' worn through to the platter...*sigh*

'Diamonds and Rust', anyone?
