Whole reference system was stolen, now need new speakers on a low budget. Concept 50?

It's a long long story and we are still fighting insurance company over their error in the way they scheduled evertyhing. Our atty says it could be up to a year or more given the amount we are suing. Anyway, I had a pair of Focal Diablo Utopia Evo's and now I am looking to stay around 5k for speakers. The other option would be to bring my Focal Aria 926's from the office and use them and focus on getting a really good integrated amp. There are several online stores that alllow returns up to 60 days for exchanges, so I was going to order a pair of the Q Acoustic Concept 50's based on lots of reviews I have read.

What's the everyone's thoughts on these speakers compared to the Aria 926 and what other speakers need to be on my list?  I was fortunate enough to have had my main source at a friends house, so I at least still have my Luxman D-03x. My dealer is loaning me a Rotel 1592 Mk II......and I am pretty impressed with it.

THoughts?

Since you lost your system get speakers that can replace your "system".

Dynaudio, Kef, JBL and many others make speakers that are powered and have a preamp and a dac built in. If you already have a preamp and a dac I would just get active speakers, probably Focals. Otherwise speakers like these are actually a matched system:

JBL 4329P is basically plug and play ready @$4500:

The Focal Trio Be are internally triamped with about 450 watts of bespoke amplification. They are around $6000 a pair but you wouldn't need to buy an amp. You would only get these if you already have a preamp or a dac, otherwise get something like the JBL's:

jof, I'm sorry about your problems, but glad you posted this because it reminds me I need to visit my insurance agent and boost the rider for electronics.

A used pair of Joseph Audio Pulsar 2s would be a great choice.  Best of luck.

Hi jof, I have a a super nice pair of Concept 500 available in black/rosenut finish. These are my own personal speakers. I sent you a PM. TK

This is pretty damn intriguing. I have a my Luxman D-03X and a Topping 90se. What do those Focal's sound like? I assume they aren't near field ?

@jof , call the guys at sweetwater, very nice to deal with, from a user review:

The sound quality is phenomenal...
Simply kicking back and listening becomes a requirement. They’re stunning just to listen to. And they’re not in any way fatiguing. They’re the best of both worlds: silky smooth and yet so ridiculously detailed you can’t miss anything. The incredibly natural sound of Acoustic instruments and vocals that aren’t compcrushed is breathtaking. Pianos aren’t plinky, horns aren’t piercing, bowed instruments aren’t screechy or gritty, fingerstyle guitar has fingerprints, and beautiful vocals float out in front of me as if the singer is standing right there.
