who likes the new changes of how you view the categories on this site ?

Everyone likes the old way get them to change it back good luck with that.

I contacted audiogon last night and got a reply this morning and here is what she said in her reply regarding the change :

" Our Developers decided to change the interface of our Categories so it was more effective  "

My reply to her , was that the Developers dont use the site as much as we do and why did they feel the need to change the way you view the categories??

I also asked if they could they change it back to the old way.    She said in one of her replies if enough members complained then they could change it back to the old way.......and this is why I started this thread.   

It would be nice if they (audiogon) would just leave this site alone ...and then they wonder why members look for other alternative places to sell their audio gear.

They got the market and they know it they do not care about us we are only the users that keep them in business plus they have a monopoly basically.  I Agree with you 100%.

Seriously though,  I agree with you completely.  When the change was first made,  it was so off-putting that I stopped using the site altogether  for about  4 months.  I gradually  inched my way back in,  but I still like the old format better.

@Audiogon, here is another person complaining. The old way to view Categories was more organised and efficient.

Wow I got removed because I really had to use different word.
I'll choose to use word amus instead so here's the old lady story:

An old lady went to doctor visit and complains"

What's different exactly?  I truly have not noticed.

I do agree dealer ads seem to be on the rise and taking over.

what is different now is the way you are able to view the categories.   Instead of all the categories being at the top, they are all now on the left side of the page and it can be a little difficult when going to view the preamp and speaker category if your mouse happens to move.

@mapman , the categories open on the left side, and the sub-categories are listed to the right. So you have to cursor down, then move right with your mouse.

It’s not a big deal, but I wish they would stop making tweaks to the website. The new Audiogon is finally up and running very well after a period of growing pains. I, for one, like this website very much.
I also like that the site is mobile friendly.

The bigger problem is that dealers and manufacturers aren't required to disclose that on every discussion post, but that's another can of worms.

The new format sucks.   Plus, on my Mac, the tab doesn't stay open for the categories.  There was nothing wrong with the old format.  This is not Amazon,  its Audigon, we dont care what the site looks like, do we?   I don't.
