Who is using a desktop headphone rig?

I have a nice pair of Sundara headphones that I don’t get to use enough. They stay with my big system for when I need to be quiet. When I could use them most and would enjoy them most is at my desk. I need a cheap little set up there.

I almost snagged an iFi Zen DAC V2, but then I thought I’d see if there’s something better or more interesting for $200-$300. Just looking for a simple integrated amp with an onboard USB DAC.

Anything other than the iFi that is a one-box solution for <$300 worth looking at?

Warm side of neutral is preferred with the Sundaras.

I use the Schitt HEL 2.0 for my laptop/desktop w/ a pair of Sennheiser HD650s and it's a good little setup for my use. When I'm working from home or gaming on the laptop I strictly use headphones and the Schitt was worth the $200. I like the tactile quality of the volume knob, the DAC is really quite good and it's relatively portable. Separate power and sound inputs as well.

ifi Gryphon is very nice. But a little above the budget.

Have you looked at the Fiio K7 at $199? I have no experience with it but they also make pretty good products. Its on Amazon.

I have an ifi Zen Dac (original)

it seems it would drive Sundaras -

I love it as a work setup. Powers off of laptop and Tidal stream

The Schiit Asgard is your best bet if you’re looking for something a little on the warm side.
