which should i purchase (tetra or sonus faber)

listening to tetra 606 ,and sonus farber amati , both excellent, leaning a little to tetra 606, they are without a doubt the most musical detailed speaker ive ever heard , any other comparisons, or comments

I like Tetra speakers very much (though I haven't heard the 606 yet). Sounds like you like 'em too. Seriously I doubt there's a wrong choice between the Tetras and the Sonus Fabers, but why not get the one that your ears say are "without a doubt the most musical detailed speaker" you've ever heard?

What"s your price range? I heard some Hansen's and they were truly spectaculer. No, they were not colored and beautiful like the Sonus Fabers. They were truly reference grade speakers, letting exactily what the source, pre and amp characteristics come through. Amazingly transperant and musical with the right matc up.

Enjoy,
Bob
thanks guys super responses, going to do some intense listening this week , bugeted 25-35k, heard lots of speakers in price range , but absolutely love the TETRA 606,S AND SONUS FARBER AMATI, LEANING A LITTLE TO TETRA AS MY FIRST LISTENING ADVENTURE BLEW ME AWAY , WITH EVERY DETAIL ONE COULD IMAGINE, AND THE FINISH STATE OF THE ART, THANKS TO ALL AGAIN FOR YOUR INPUT VERY MUCH APPRECIATED, PS WHATS GOOD IS I HEARD BOTH SPEAKERS ON ELECTRONICS NOT AS GOOD AS MINE AND I WAS IMPRESSED
I would second the Tetra's. I have owned both. Sold the Sonus and still have the Tetra's. Have to be heard.
I prefer the Tetras.
Superb design and manufacturer support. Their cables are excellent too!
As to the sound of the speaker, that is far to subjective of a factor to lend itself to anyone's opinion other than your own. Suggestions from opthers as to other models / brands is of value in awareness of what to audition. In short, repeated auditions is the way to make the choice. Of course, practical buying concerns also have their place as in any other purchase, such as, does the manufacturer provide support, has the company been around for a while (availability of repair parts if needed), is there a negative consensus as to defects.
I agree with Tvad..buy what sound better to you..I do think SF has a better re-sale value/easier to sell..thats always a point I take into consideration when laying money down
It is such a pity that most of us also have to consider the resale value when purchasing audio equipment. I rarely do not care if the price is right. It is very sad that Tetra cannot hold its value because they are not known by most. They are FANTASTIC! They do not get the attention they deserve. Hopefully, Tetra will change this or maybe they do not care...
