Which Cables for SET Amp

Which speaker cables for an SET amp with horn speakers?

Zu cables. At least- thats my answer, to your particular question, to which anybody and everybody will answer differently.
After a few false starts with midline stuff (Kimber 8TC, Tara RSC, Mapleshade, etc,) I just picked up some Speltz anti-cables for my 7 watt 300b into 93db Silverline Sonatina's. Very happy. Sounds like music.
Cables are like tone controls. Try using the Cable Company service (cable rental of sorts) and trust your ears. The best depends on your equipment and your goals for the stereo system. Have fun
I am using anti cables now and have been for awhile. I was thinking about something thinner, or maybe silver.
Cable recommendations are very difficult to make as each system is different and what works for one system does not necessarily mean it will work in another system, additionally everyone has there own tastes as to what sounds best to them. Each of these recommendations is very sincere and I am sure it works fine within there systems and they are quite happy. I have always found that the MIT cables have had a particular synergy with what ever system I have owned, I think it is because these cables have network boxes which enable you to match the impedances of your electronics and speakers enabling you to extract the optimum performance your electronics and speakers are capable of. This matching can make MORE of a difference than changing other pieces of electronics. I suggest you find a dealer who will let you AUDITION the MIT cables within your price range in YOUR system, I am pretty sure you be quite impressed and your search should be over.I have Avantgarde Unos powered with an Art Audio Diavolo with Mit cables and the sound is beautiful.
A few cables to consider:

- Cardas SE15 (specifically made for SE amps)
- Speltz Anticables
- Audience Conductor and Au24
- Auditorium 23
- 47 Labs cables

I personally use the Audience Conductor in my system and prefered them to the Au24 and the Speltz, but all of the above are affordable enough to try them out. No need for waterhoses in your SET system
I have used both Audience Cables (Au24 and Conductor) as well as Anticables with my Fi Super X 2A3 amp and Cain Abby speakers.

The Anticables are well worth experimenting with - my nly complaint is that they do change sound dramatically depending on the geometry (parallel, random, tightly twisted. I prefered the Antis twisted (about I-2 twist per inch), which gave the most top end extension. The Au24 were overall similar to the twisted Anticables but more refined in the top end. The Conductor worked actually best - very lively and slightly forward with a slightly fuller bass.

The other cables I heard only shortly in various systems and they do get excellent reviews primarily in SET systems.
Bought an Almarro A318A SET and hooked it up to my HT Pro-9s (non bi-wire) going to Thiel 1.6s.
It was "not good".
Sounded like the speakers were coated with honey -very thick and slow with little treble.

Changed to Nordost Blue Heaven (non bi-wire).
The most dramatic difference I've ever heard.
Music was very snappy, quick, detailed -full of "SET goodness".

The HT Pro-9, however, sounds fabulous between my BAT 300X and the Thiels. Just proves that system interection can not be ignored.
