Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

"A RL version of Led Zeppelin ll which I just bought last week from a local used record store."

Question: what does RL refer to?

The Who, Who’s are you, CD.
Velvet Revolver, Contraband, CD

I suspect you probably meant, Who are Youse?

Bob Dylan, No Direction Home, soundtrack from Scorsese movie of same name. Super duper!

Smb Bingo is good stuff and nice recording.

You got that right, Bubba! Andy Johns is the man!

The first Black Sabbath album is a study in recording technique and sound quality. The CD on the Castle label is absolutely incredible. If you don’t agree you have system issues.
Condition is generally responsible for lower prices. Old audiophile axiom 🤗
Santana Abraxas. Jagger Wandering Spirit with Jimmy Rip guitar. Cassettes. Yeah!
Orchestral Manoevers in the Dark, Architecture and Morality. Timeless classic. On cassette. The only way to fly.

Taj Mahal's Recycling the Blues and Other Related Stuff, side 2 of which is recorded live and contains the inimitable Rise up Children Shake the Devil out of your Soul. On cassette, which is VERY hard to find.
The Clash, Combat Rock, cassette. Whoa! Now this is what dynamic range is all about!

Nirvana In Utero. The cassette kills. Grado headphones sounding good. Canned Heat live at Woodstock on YouTube, didn't make the cut for the movie. Who can explain that?
Electric Ladyland, cassette. Experience Hendrix version issued in 1997 on cassette, CD and vinyl by the Hendrix Family Corporation and remastered by Eddie Kramer.  Never go against the family. Lol
Now and Zen, Robert Plant. With a little help from Page on two tracks. All digital but prior to the Loudness Wars so nice and dynamic. Led Zeppelin meets The Cars.
"Show me the way to the next whiskey bar..." The Doors in Concert. Cassette set contains the tracks from the Absolutely Live LP plus more. Yeah! Pretty neat, pretty neat, pretty good, pretty good.
Waiting for Columbus, live Little Feat CD with Mick Taylor on Apolitical Blues. Nothing wrong with them apples.
The Clash, Cut the Crap. Supposedly their worse album. Give me a break!

Pink Floyd's The Final Cut on CD. The 1997 Doug Sax remaster. Whoa!

Experience Hendrix (get it?) - The Best of Hendrix, the family remasters, remastered by Eddie Kramer. Whoa!! Don’t ever go against the family. Kra-mer!!
Frank Zappa, Sheik Yerbouti. Whoa, Frank’s quite the potty mouth! I also discovered those standard charcoal foam ear pads on Grados and other similar headphones really suck sound wise.
Mick Jagger’s She’s the Boss. On Chrome CrO2 cassette. Wow, wow! Jeff Beck, Pete Townshend, Carlos Alomar, Herbie Hancock, Michael Shrieve, G.E. Smith, etc.

Coincidink! Just listened to Best of Savoy Brown and Best of Canned Heat, both on cassette.
The Doors, L.A. Woman, remastered from original master tapes. I just finished sliding a carbon fiber sleeve over the 2 meter headphone cable. Awesome!

@geoffkait

My fave Pumpkins album, only have it on cassette.

>>>>>😩
Cassettes on tap for this morning: Joy of Cooking’s Closer to the Ground, Hendrix’ Electric Ladyland, John Prine 1st, Led Zep Houses of the Holy
the B-52’s. Yellow cover CD. That’s what I’m talking about!
Dread Zeppelin UN-LED-ED. Digital remaster Japan. Includes their cover of Woodstock. Can’t wait. I did not know this but each member has his own symbol. One symbol is cheese. Another is a cheeseburger.
Electric Ladyland CD. The one with the little Experience Hendrix logo, issued by the Hendrix family and remastered by Eddie Kramer. Don’t ever go against the family. Kra-mer!
Tristan und Isolde, Reiner with LPO, a young Flagstad , Melchior and Chorus of Royal Opera, Covent Garden. The year is 1936.
Lohengrin, on Walhall, Rysanek, Varnay, Kónya at Bayreuth ‘58. Stupendous.
Exile on Main St., cassette, the one on Virgin, silly. Digitally remastered by Bob Ludwig. Whoa, daddy!
Emotional Rescue, cassette, digitally remastered by Bob Ludwig 1994, there are six of these Ludwig Stones cassettes that came out in 1994, all with spectacular sound. Bloody hell!
Die Walkure - Keilberth, Mödl, Varnay, Vinay, Hotter, Greindl, Bayreuth 1955. Sweet!
Tears for Fears Songs from the Big Chair on cassette. Wow! All I can say is Wow! What dynamics! And clarity! They don’t make em like this anymore.
All Things Must Pass, cassette, paper label. Oh, yeah!

also, 2 cassette set Alligator Records 20th Anniversary includes Give me Back My Wig, Look but Don’t Touch and other blues favorites. James Cotton, Koko Taylor, Elvin Bishop, Roy Buchanan, many others. Unreal recording (!)
Yes, I’m aware The Mix IS dynamic. However their original recordings just sound better. Must be a digital thang.
