Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

So far tonight:

1)Mahler 1
2) Joe Henderson big band
and now 3) Brahms "Nanie"

Listening with the new Harbeths (Super HL5+ 40th). Glorious on all three.  Great evening of listening.
Hindemith's Mathis der Maler (Blomstedt/San Francisco Symphony).  Good audition track, ranging from full range lush string sounds to dense horn and woodwind orchestration.

Previously the Mozart Violin Concerto #5. Listen for the bows hitting strings as substitute percussion in the Rondo.
Beethoven cello sonatas.  Last night was Mahler 3, not his best, but sonically fun.
Brahms piano quartet #25, a real barn-burner.  Sounds fantastic. Perahia and Amadeus Quartet.  RCA Red Seal.
St. Vincent.  First time with my month-old Harbeths.  I'm surprised how different it sounds.  She's doing more with the electronics than I thought.  And whoever thinks the SHL5+ can't reproduce bass is wrong.
Sibelius, two pieces for Cello and Orchestra.

Jazzmeia Horn before that.

Bantock Cello sonatas before that (lovely Dutton recording)
