Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

Tangerine Dream - Stratosfear (In Search of Hades box set)
Thomas Dolby - Astronauts and Heretics
Fanger and Shonwalder - Analog Overdose 4
Van Morrison - The Prophet Speaks
Sky Cries Mary - Seeds
Uber, Carnaval is really great.  I have it on CD, both the MCA and Amherst masters, which definitely differ from one another in terms of sonics.

Spyro Gyra, especially on their early releases, seemed to craft loosely-themed concept albums, of which Carnaval is certainly one.  From the prog-lite of Catching the Sun to the funk-sprinkled Free Time, there was a unifying musical direction on each record.  And Jeremy Wall was at his compositional peak in those years.
Uber, completely agree!
Ron Boots - By Popular Demand (More Live)
Billy Joel - Storm Front
Syndromeda - Last Days on Earth
Billy F Gibbons - The Big Bad Blues (surprised by this one - first listen.  A real throwback to Gibbons' blues roots and reminiscent of ZZ Top's early records).

Ghosthouse - Deborah Holland has a number of solo releases, and they are all superb.  Her solo style differs from that of her work with Animal Logic, but it is excellent nonetheless.
Paul Ellis - The Sacred Ordinary
Oingo Boingo - Boingo (last album and very different from their earlier releases)
Brendan Pollard and Hastronaut - Analogue Satourn
David Byrne - American Utopia
Boards of Canada - Twoism
Dave Matthews Band - Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King
Two VERY different, nautically-themed selections:

Vangelis - The Bounty soundtrack (despite its ostensible formal release on a European “label” - One World Music - the sound quality is bootleggy at best, leaving me wondering whether it was lifted from a well-worn VCR copy of the movie).

Jimmy Buffett - The Far Side of the World
Radio Massacre International - Been There, Done That

Saga - Images at Twilight
Uber - what a find!  Fun times ahead, indeed...

Dom F. Scab - Twelve Stories

The Kinks - Kinks (first album)

Tears for Fears - The Seeds of Love
Uber, I was surprised, too, by Sea Change (this was my first listen). Not what I was expecting, considering my experience with other Beck recordings.  Perhaps repeated listening will reveal more nuance and lead me to appreciate Sea Change more, but the songs were not variegated with respect to style, approach or instrumentation.
80’s flashback:

John Carpenter - Christine (1983 soundtrack)

U2 - The Joshua Tree (1987)   Running To Stand Still continues to give me the shivers even 30 years later.
I saw Vampires in the theater, actually.  Good movie.  I don't think I've seen it since.  I don't remember the soundtrack, but I'll have to check it out based on your recommendation...  Thanks, Reubent.

Arctikdeth - I have not seen Trick or Treat, but I will try and track it down.  There is a time and place for everything, including cheesy movies!!
Navigator - Airwaves
Steely Dan - Everything Must Go
Peter Gabriel - Shaking the Tree.
