Whats one of the most memorable listening nights you have ever had?

My old roommate and I listened to Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon, ONKYO integrated amp with Ohm Walsh 2 speakers, and one of the first CD players on the market back in '83.  Man, it just was one of those moments in time that I will always remember, the album truly did " Speak to Me", no pun intended.  WOW what a memory.

On Dec. 8, 1980 I went to see Springsteen & The E Street Band. After the show I walked through the parking lot with my friends singing Thunder Road as we climbed into my car and turned on the radio expecting to hear Bruce on all the rock stations, as was the norm in Philadelphia at the time.
Instead, I heard Beatles on every station. I rolled down my window when I saw a woman in tears, clutching her companion. As I frantically pushed preset buttons on the radio, I heard "...was shot and killed". John Lennon was dead. Everybody was stunned, the adrenaline of the Bruce show instantly drained and the mood transformed to panicked mourning.
The following evening I went to see Jerry Garcia Band at the Tower Theatre. Jerry closed with Dear Prudence, which became a staple for his band thereafter. 3000 kindred spirits and I wept. After the show, it was almost silent.
Not much compares to that.
Did I win the internet?
Cheers,
Spencer
