Wow, you guys were busy yesterday! I had my kids and grandkids over for a late Christmas, so no vinyl yesterday.
Moving through the last of the Def Leppard this morning, their 2015 eponymous release. You'd think they might have been out of gas at this point, but it's really quite good. No Mutt Lange, but the songs and production are still really good.
|
Boz Scaggs - Slow Dancer, Japanese pressing. |
|
@puffball08 My youngest son likes a lot of rock, but no, neither of them are into vinyl. They probably think I have lost my mind but are polite enough not to say so.
|
A stout cup of coffee and Ronnie James Dio, what a great way to start the day!
Dio - The Last In Line
|
Kraftwerk - Tour De France |
Toto - IV. Not something I would normally be into, but ever since Weezer did a cover of Africa I've been curious. This is a nice Japanese pressing and actually sounds very good. |
Jim, I just put my clearaudio virtuoso wood back on my SL 1200 MK 2. The Genesis record was a nice promo copy, sounded great! |
Genesis - Selling England by the Pound |
Gary Moore - Corridors of Power |
Eagles - One of These Nights, nice Japan pressing. |
Steve Marriott - Marriott

Hans Zimmer - Inception Soundtrack |
Sublime - Icon greatest hits |
Joe Walsh - You Can't Argue With a Sick Mind |

Lowell George - Thanks I'll Eat it Here, nice Japanese pressing. Love this album. |
UFO - Live in Youngstown '78. I had a little trepidation about this as Strangers in the Night is one of the best live albums ever (IMO), but so far it sounds really good. |
Thanks Jim, I will try to check that one out. |
James, The UFO album was great. Not at the level of Strangers in the Night, but more of a "you're there" experience maybe. I have that version of the Confessor, it's awesome!
Jim - I'm streaming Valerie Carter this morning. |
Paul McCartney & Wings - Band on the Run. Nice Japan pressing. |
Jim, I bought a big pile of them recently, mostly NM-. |
I was planning to spin some records last night after visiting my kids and grandkids and literally one minute after I walked in the door, the power went out. So much for that! At least the rain and wind got rid of all the snow we've had for the last few days in the NW.
|
Genesis - Wind & Wuthering |
Lana Del Rey - Born To Die
|
I saw the questions about the Degritter. I have become a fan of US cleaning. I recently picked up a pre-owned Klaudio LP200 and have cleaned about 100 records with it. It doesn't perform miracles, but it gets them super clean and seems to help with static.
Prior to that, I've been using a VPI 16.5 vacuum cleaner. It also does a nice job and is faster.
The US cleaner on the other hand it fully automated. Drop a record in, walk away, a few minutes later the disc looks like new. The LP200 uses distilled water, no cleaning solution, which I like also.

Kraftwerk - Computer World |
KYYX FM - Seattle Grown, Various Artists
|
Missing Persons - Spring Session M |
Bill Withers - Greatest Hits, MFSL

Sgt. Pepper... making my way through my project of getting all my records into Discogs database and play grading the ones that I haven't. Not a bad way to start a Sunday morning. More Beatles to come. |
|
Tommy Bolin - Private Eyes, WLP |
The Beatles - 20 Greatest Hits. This one is a little on the worn side, will probably get binned. |
