What type of stands for B W 805

Check out Sound Anchor Stands. Height depends on your sitting position (height). Basically in line with your head. Sometimes the room matters somewhat also. Can't help with that.

I suggest you buy the B&W stands that are made for the 805's if you can. They may be more expensive, but I think they are worth it. You have a choice of black or silver. They follow the contours of the oval shaped speaker, and they also have screw holes perfectly lined up to secure the speakers to the stand. They can be filled with shot or sand, and look great, perfectly complimenting the style of the 805's. They help increase the pride in ownership of a beautifully made speaker. Good luck.
