What Signalyst HQPlayer settings do you use?
Do you use HQPlayer? I use HQPlayer to upsample 44.1 and usually the sound quality benefits. But after trying many many combinations of Filter, Dither, and Sample Rate settings, I am now frustrated with the overwhelming number of combinations and choices. The perceived differences are usually subtle and difficult to remember. I just want to set them and forget them but I can’t while continuously thinking that there must be a superior group of settings.
My digital front end consists of: Frankenstein I7 PC; Windows 10; Roon; HQPlayer; Berkeley Alpha USB; Berkeley Alpha DAC.
What are your recommendations for these settings? What settings do you use? Is there a default group of settings? What are the most commonly used settings? What is the scoop here?
