The Granite Audio CDP with tube outputs has some similarites to the Miles. I used to own a Miles.
What they have in common is that the Granite CDP, like the Miles, can go directly to your amp without the use of a pre amp. I have used this feature to break in speakers and not put hours on my pre amp. They are in a similar price range also.
Build wise both are good units, although the Theta seemed a little more rugged to me but, that may just be perception. Soundwise, I prefer the Granite Audio.
