Mine is the best, much better than yours, better than anyone elses,it costs more,is bigger, looks better, sounds better and you can't have one.NAH,NAH,NAH,NAH,NAH NAH!!!!!!!!!!
Mazad6, Tpreaves post shows this is a very debatable question.

No, I don't think he's making fun of you, and I suspect that if this thread stays up long enough every brand of cable made will be claimed "the best" :^).

You must listen for yourself. Go to a local dealer, Cable Company or other vendor that will allow you to listen and return. By testing a few cables you at least have a chance to discover what works and hopefully make you happy.
I am using DH Labs BL1 series II rca interconnects and to me they will fit your needs, at least you don't have to brake a bank for it. Another option, which I didn't try yet, but been seen by many as real upgrade from BL1, are DH Labs Matrix. Both are silver coated, which gives that clarity you are looking for. Personally, I am going back to pure cooper, but than in USD 500 range, however not sure yet which one.
Thank you Albert,you nailed it.
It should have Neutrik plugs.
End of story by Tpreaves because he has the best wire on the planet and he will not share.

Anyone have the secound BEST wire you can share with us?
I was just abducted by aliens and brought back. They told me I have the second best. Not first, thats taken. Second....lol

Tpreaves - I don't want to talk to you, no more, you empty-headed animal, food trough wiper. I fart in your general direction. You mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries.

OP - Albert's sending you down the right path. Not only is it entirely subjective, it'll also be highly system dependent. One can generalize till the hamster's come home about specific cables, but that doesn't mean when you plug them into your system, from point a to b, that you'll hear the same qualities described in various threads on this very subject (with answers that span a broad spectrum from Home Depot to, well, to Tpreaves unobtanium wonder wires). The Cable Company route is a great way to try out various options. If you mention Tpreaves wires they'll probably hang up the phone on you and block further incoming calls so I wouldn't mention it if I were you.

Jax2....I don't remember asking you to talk to me.

Oh. Gee...well, uh, sorry about the fart, man!
It must have WBT rca's and be cyro'd to be the best:<)
Cables, the land of Snake Oil....

My personal loom is all PNF Audio because I've found for the dollar spent, they do what a cable SHOULD do better than any other I've tried.....
I guess you guys can at least tell the best IC cable you've ever used so far among others, either best value cables or best regardless of the cost.

Since the OP was considering a piece of wire that retails for $1000+/meter, and from the tone of the question, I would not have guessed he was looking for "best value".

I don't know about "snake oil" but I would say that cables is in the land of extreme diminishing returns for your investment and where you are paying largely for exclusivity, R&D, hype, and advertising. If one were to view it solely as the markup of the actual materials the numbers would make most people ashamed in some cases. If your system and room are not well sorted out, and made up of very resolving components, such investments may prove to provide little or no dividends.

There are many exceptions to those cables I assumed the OP was asking about, and other threads that point to small makers who are putting out products that have a dedicated following among users who have otherwise tried the boutique wires the OP seems to be focusing on. Among those; Grover Huffman cables, Reality Cables, Signal Cables, Blue Jeans, DH Labs, and there are certainly others. Some of those manufacturers have a trial period as well. I have no doubt at all that some of these choices could be every bit as good, and even better, than choices costing far more $. They could also, of course, sound worse. Again, Albert steered the OP straight - try out examples (thoroughly burned-in) yourself in the system you'll actually use them in and make your own decision. Not a bad idea to try some of the smaller manufacturers above. You may save some significant $.
The best is NO cable at all!
is everthing, and I mean EVERTHING else in your system and room up to snuff?

If not, cable is the rabbit hole to end all rabbit holes. The only bigger hole into which to pour money is BOATS. And you know what they say about boats!

I use all Belden / BlueJeans with the exception of the balanced from CDP to amp, which are Mogami Gold, Analog Reference Microphone Cable.
