What formats does the Yggdrasil DAC support?

I just ordered the Yggdrasil DAC. It won't actually ship until early October.
I'm wondering what formats it supports.
I know it doesn't support DSL, but does it support SACD?

Hopefully that will be the case. I ordered *early August* and am still waiting. As I've posted in at least one other thread, they keep (at least three times) pushing out the back order date. Presumably the old adage "good things are worth waiting for" will apply here. :)

But I am curious about one thing: since I got the Gen 5 update the Yggy no longer plays 24-bit .wav or .aiff files from an Aurender N100H.

@gs5556

That is interesting/unfortunate to read. So are you saying that before you had your Yggy upgraded to Gen 5, it played wav 24 bit and after the upgrade no longer does?

Any changes to the transport (Aurender or anything else)? And when you state it no longer plays the 24 wav, is thee some kind of symptom? (i.e. it plays but obviously not well, it doesn't produce any sound at all, the buy better gear light comes on, etc.)

@gs5556 Thanks for the clarification.

@rvpiano Charging your card and not shipping *might* be against the law and if its not it should be.

I did ask Schiit via email if they charge the card prior to shipping and they stated they do not. In my case they have not charged my card. Also, fwiw, when I initially placed the order online, it was rejected by my credit card company as a possible fraudulent transaction. When I called my credit card company to allow the transaction, the rep claimed (paraphrasing) that the type of authorization hold Schiit was placing on the card was exceptional in that a significantly greater amount of information was obtained (from Schiit to the credit card co) relative to other vendors. The rep from my credit card company viewed this as a *good* sign and typical of reputable company.
The following are some forum posts I happened upon elsewhere:

"The USB Gen 5 24 bit rumor is a fact. The card advertises it can do 32 bit when it cannot and some drivers do not work. Specifically it is a problem for Roon / microrendu. The issue opened in the Roon website is closed as a software/hardware issue with the Schiit usb gen5."

"For what it's worth, I have the Gen 5 USB upgrade installed on the Yggy by Schiit, and I have not experienced any issues using Roon and the Ultrarendu with it since it came back. This 24 bit rumor was made known when my unit was at Schiit for the upgrade, so maybe the fixed whatever problem there was with it? I can't tell. There was no official confirmation of what Schiit did about it, because they did not respond to any of my e-mail inquiries regarding the subject. Still, my unit does not seem to have the problem so water under the bridge... blah, blah, blah..."

"Then it's not a 24bit playback issue. It plays 24bit just fine. The issue you mentioned would affect 16bit playback too. I don't understand why it was labeled as a 24bit problem."
Just got mine back, and it's playing 24-bit 44.1kHz and 96kHz WAV just fine through my UltraRendu using Roon.

@parsons

I think you're Yggy is "fine" too. There is some recent comments on https://www.head-fi.org/threads/schiit-yggdrasil-impressions-thread.766347/page-404 which I believe speaks/writes to the issue and all reports I've read are favorable.
