What finish is more attractive: Wood or paint?

I took a good look at my Merlins last night and was really impressed with the paint job(Champagne). Gonna pick-up some "Mist-n-Shine" and have a ball.

We may try and choose the component, aesthetics are down to the wife, so wood it is then. No Zu definition speakers for me.
