what do horns sound like

Ive probably only heard one or two many years ago and i may never get a chance to hear another anytime soon.

Do they work with pop music and electronic music?

Do they disappear?

Do they have even tonality?

are they for nearfield or far field?

I do not feel there is anything else I can add, than, to simply refer these folks to the previous threads and posts on the subject. Enjoy ! MrD
mijostyn, although this could be debated by others here, my Lascalas, measure cleanly, to 75 hz, before any roll off begins, and this is at 100 db level. At lower db levels, they extend lower. I added extra bracing to the cabinets of the dog houses ( the woofer horns ), and did a few other mods, to clean up some weaknesses, of the original design. As far as size, Mahlman uses his huge horns in a warehouse environment, not a typical 16 x 22 living room. Not saying this is a bad thing, nor implying, they would not work in a typical environment ( for some, not me ), but my Lascalas are a " right size " for me. Enjoy ! MrD.
As far as this individual ( the OP ) is concerned, I have zero interest in what he has to say, nor any interest, in responding, to anything he has to say. That's me....
mahlman, no you can’t, live with a set of Lascalas. What you have built has been a spoiler for you. But considering their petite size ( Lascala ), and the ability to take them further than stock, makes them, for me, anyway, an unbelievable bargain. I have owned several pair of Lascalas over a 50 year period, and am convinced of their greatness. I am intrigued by your tweeters, specifically the housings you have created. Enjoy ! MrD.
