Thanks (not!) for that bummer of a post! Maybe more positive thinking will move things in the right direction.  Why paint with such a broad and negative brush?

Most eBay dealers, regardless of geography, with decent feedback do a fairly solid job of record grading, in my experience.

Why pick on individual countries?
@dekay
I beg to differ,the best vinyl that I have purchased came from that fine little country!

Speaking ebay, it is getting worse everywhere, in my experience. Canada in fact was pretty good. Brits always grade EX which means little and varies from VG to almost NM. Japanese started overgrading a few years ago, before that they tended to downgrade.

sorry about this rant  but after 40+ years of this hokey pokey ,i'm uncomfortably numbed to stories of the brits and their antics. they must use audio play as standard because NOBODY is that blind . (they seem to have a dj mentality not a collector one) also, like e bay, they have too many young people and broke hillbillies selling stuff on line(discogs, too). if it wasn't for the continuing  incomprehensible obsession with the (parlophone)  beatles that show would have been over years ago.( they STILLl want all this $$ for no demand stuff  like Freddie and the dreamers.......)

germans and dutch  and some oz  and swedes were  reliable (for high grades)but you'll pay! japan had a postage issue.

if a English dealer is good he usually is very good but all those 60's  records have dried up so his stock is low. it depends on genre!
