What are the best speakers in the world?

This is the most important question on our minds. This is what it all boils down to. What is the best speaker on the planet?

I dont want to hear any excuses or a dozen different opinions. I just want the facts. 

A speaker is just like a car. It has a purpose. The purpose of a car is to get you from A to B. But we are here to discuss speakers so what is the job of a speaker exactly and why are there so many to choose from?

The purpose of a speaker is to play music so that we can sit down and enjoy it. Simple as that. No resonance, no coldness no harshness no lack of bass, no booming, no nonsense, just pure buttery heaven. 

Is it the magico? is it the harbeth? is it the wilson? Avalon? Yg? vivid? 
DIY custom tuned? brick walled cabinets made of 12 inch thick concrete? 

Are we simply being cheated with all these offerings? why are there so many?

Again, i dont want to hear differences of opinions or any extraneous comments. 

I will ask again, what is the best speaker in the world?

I am sick and tired of seeing different speakers being touted as the best. I am sick of the lies. Sick of being cheated. Sick of lack of measurements. Sick of watching other audiophiles being duped. Sick of audiophiles that are tone deaf. 

We need the facts. No more lies no more BS no more opinions. 

What is the best?

Best speaker in My World: Mine...obviously...to Me.

Best in Your World: Whatever it is that you have....until you decide on another....or hope for...or....*shrug*

Best 'speaker' in My World: My Spouse....even if I'm not fond of what she might be saying at some point or another....  Her 'singing'...*eh*L* (Her 'ports' don't accept RCA or any other 'standards'. ;)  So, no EQ....)

Just another 'infotainment' thread....Quixotic, endless, no end because there is no 'ultimate answer' to kenjits' query....unless one cares to include the speaker arrays that are used to subject satellites to 'launch-level' db's....

*Hmmm*  I can think of a 'physical confrontation' with Batwoman far 'preferable' to a fight....
As to how Batman would respond to that encounter...*G*  I think I'll leave Gotham to you...and Them, and stay uninvolved. ;)

The best driven element...is no element at all...so to speak.

Now, that (the 8.2...or the 9.2, I'm 'easy' *L*) would warrant a visit to AXPONA if Lansche exhibited there.  One would hope that the exhibit space will be 'prep'd proper' for them...so None could issue any discouraging word..."Oh, the room sucked...etc...."

OK, kenjit...Here's a potential 'high-water mark'.

'Practical skeptic' that I am...and a challenge to all reading this exhortation...

Match the Lansche to any/all of your SOTA stuff.

A plasma unit should exhibit no coloration.  There's no electro-mechanical parts trying to reproduce anything within it's bandwidth.

I've heard one, long ago, far away....absolutely erie to hear sound from an arc...but it's There.  Esp. a voice....but it sounded Real.

(I hate to think what L. wants for these....$, blood, first-born's, your house deed....*L*)

It beats letting you try to figure out if I'm amused/bemused/incredulous/...all that....

Anyway...@jimski, yes, if we'd prefer to be 'diplomatic' (sic) [no pun intended, but there it is...} with kenjit's opening statement...

Considering him as 'agent provocateur', instead of 'troll grande' with a bad case of illness-instilled 'bad vibes'.....;)

At least this forum has 'generally' been Fun.  More of the lively sort of exchange and quipery we come here for, rather than the "Well, that X is far superior to Z, and if you can't discern the obvious superiority, your ears are packed with slow-set concrete that's oozing out of your skull..."

More of the former, less of the latter.

I may be 'oblique' in many ways, but basically prefer to be understood, esp. in my responses and basic attitude...

I like 'diplomacy'....'out of style' in the WH of late, but...that's a discussion/argument for elsewhere (lest I get 'canned' by the AG Overlords [Hi, Y'all!]...)....

Well....we can either continue to try to, or just 'pack it up' & Quit Trying.
Admit that Perfection is unattainable.  Resign the quest. Unplug the television as well, because it's flawed as well.  Damn things don't reproduce Reality well enough to smell the burger being touted as Great because it's 2D and not 3....and it even requires being plugged in.

Keep that line of 'logic' going to it's unattainable end, because you can't stop everyone and everything....

So you'll still be disappointed and frustrated...*quizzical stare*

I think we're all trying to do the best we can within this miserable reality we're stuck in...and we don't understand IT or WHY either.
