We just finished a pretty good thread on this subject. Take a look here...

I'll check back in case you have more questions...Good luck.

BTW, nice system you have.
I highly recommend Howland Groove 2,which replaced my VDH mc. Cardas-golden reference, is also a very good choice.
Importend is the burn in period. Build an adapter and let it burn in on a cd-player. The burn in period on pickup arm takes too long due the very low mAmps...
My experience with Audio Note cables in general has been excellent and reportedly their phono cables are terrific as well which I find very easy to believe. Audio Note in general is a very underappreciated brand IMO and worth serious consideration phono I am sure.
Let me know if you are going to sell the Music Groove. I might be interested. I'm using Synergistic Research Looking Glass. Really a nice detailed cable for not so much money.
I wish I could remember the various ones I tried before settling on the MusicGrove2 by Hovland. I remember trying Cardas Neutral and another Cardas, a couple of Siltech which at times was great and at times a bit just not right. It has just been awhile and the MG2 was the best for my system overall. I have a Sonagraph SG-3(modified Sota Comet), Thor T-3000 phono preamp C-j 16LSII C-J Prmier 11a and was using B&W 804 matrix speakers at the time. If cost were an object by second choice probably would have been the Cardas Neutral. Hope this helps
