Other than what you may have been smoking or drinking at the time? A loose connection with an interconnect, maybe? I once had a similar experience when I first got my Audio Logic DAC, apparently it took the MIT Multicaps a while to break in, and a shifting soundstage was something that occasionally happened while the break-in took place.
weird changes in sound
played CD of EC "Unplugged" today weird change was the entire image was shifted left about 8 feet from usual placement,change to another CD sounds as usual, played EC again sounds exactly as it usually does image in proper placement?
