He was blessed with a long life and active very productive career. His composition “Infant Eyes “ is among my favorite Jazz ballads. Although life ends for us all, some leave behind a body of work that can be accessed and appreciated. R.I.P. Mr. Shorter. Charles

Well done.

In fact, his Blue Note and Davis Quintet recordings would be my choice for "desert island" Jazz discs.
