VTL 2.5i preamp and solid state amp match

I like the new VTL preamp but I want to partner it with a solid state amp.  I know that speaker choice, room size, and loudness preference are important factors to consider.  But if any folks have matched up this preamp (or something similar to it) will solid state amps I'd appreciate hearing what worked well and any other considerations that should be made.
