VPI JMW 12.6i Plus Tonearm - Antiskate

Hi How is your experience with this tonearm? I understand that antiskate is adjusted by twisting a lead wire which I was told make antiskate adjuistment difficult and inaccurate. Pls comment. Happy Listening TQ

I've owned the JMW-10 for a number of years atop a TNT. Setting the antiskate with twisting of the wire has worked fine and should not be a deciding factor in your purchasing decision. Harry Wesfield, who has heard and setup a turntable or two in his day, actually felt that the arm without the mechanical anti-skate sounded better. He only developed the tradional anti-skate because perceptions, like your's above, have cost him sales. Why not email him directly for his current opinion. I suspect he still thinks the wire method sounds best.
