vintage 6BQ5/EL-84 amp/klipsch speakers

I'm looking to put a system together with a reasonably priced Fisher or Scott amp and a pair of Heresy or Cornwall speakers. I listen most of the time to either a Thorens turntable or a Mac Mini music server with a Nixon dac. What's my best bang for an amp and are Klipsch good for cost effective high efficency speakers. Listen to mostly 50/60's jazz in a small room.

If you are considering a preamp + power amp combination (as opposed to an integrated amp), the Pilot SA-232 is widely considered to be one of the best sounding (and possibly THE best sounding) vintage 6BQ5/EL84 stereo power amps.

Good luck!
