Josh - I dunno if you got your answer, but numerous posts on the Vandy web site regarding this issue make it clear that balanced-to-RCA adaptors may not be used on the M5-HP. Richard Vandersteen can give you the reasons, but he warns that this can cause damage to your system.

I am hoping someone out there may have had experience with balanced M5-HP crossovers used as single ended input/output. I intend to do this with adaptors..not ideal I know, for many reasons - however, if anyone has gone this route, could they please share their experience - good or bad,
