using Sound Check in iTunes...

Here is my problem.  I'd like the volume level on CD's that I burn in iTunes to stay the same from song to song so that I don't blow my speakers when I use my CD player (I like to play things loud).  I guess that Sound Check cannot be used when recording CDs.  
Also wonder if Sound Check is ok to use from an audiophile perspective when I do use my Mac for playing CDs in iTunes (any degradation of sound).  And if error correction is ok to use for burning a CD.

I also use sound check for burning CDs and error correction works well. When you burn I recommend using slow speed I use 2x
