Using "load resistors" to break-in an amp ??

Hey guys!

Just wondering, for a pair of amps that need a long break-in, and would like to "preserve the peace" at home, how do you hook up a "dummy" speaker load using resistors instead of speakers??

What type, value?? Where can you purchase??

Thanks to any and all.

I've had good results using the 8 Ohm 20 watt wire wound resistors available from Radio Shack. Just attach them across the binding posts and turn the volume up to low to medium level.

Good luck!
I've got a few spare Dale 50 watt 8 ohm precision resistors from the old shop. Let me know if they might be what you need.
