Should not be a problem. If you mix XLR and RCA, you will have to adjust levels to compensate for the higher output via XLR.

Using 2 channels of a 5-channel amp
Hi Gang,
Before I fry a nice piece of equipment, I wanted to be doubly sure about something. I have a McIntosh mc7205. I'd like to add 2 channels for a 7.1 setup. Can I run only two channels off of this amp without screwing with the circuitry? Also, can I run the THX cable into my MX119 from one 7205 and RCAs into the MX119 for the 2 rear channels without screwing things up? Or will I have to run 7 sets of cables into the back of the MX 119?
