use same speakers for music and home theater

HI I'd like to use my totem sttafs for home theater and for music. I have an NAD 356 plus the sttafs along with a Denon AVR and Gallo five speaker system. Can I wire the sttafs with two sources so I can use the Sttafs as my front home theater and with my NAD? When I watch anything with music alone ( iam a musician) the gallos sound awful. though for home theater they are very good.

Hi Brian,

You could use a regular A/B speaker switch, wired in reverse.

Make sure to get a switch that only allows one pair of speakers to be in use at a time. If you do this, you could do this.

But better solution IMHO is to get rid of the Gallo's and get a sub for the Totems.

Thanks how about keep the gallo sub and use with the totems? Or is that not. Good match ?

Try it and hear for yourself. It is an easy and free experiment. Doubt anyone could state factually that it would not be a good match without having heard them together.
