Up-scaling DVD player that responds to mods

I'm looking for a very cheap DVD player of the up-scaling type to modify. I'd like to find one that responds well and is easy to do the work on. The reason why I ask, is because I'd like to work on a cheaper used DVD player replacing the caps and resistors and other mods.

Thanks for the suggestions,
Philips 763SA SACD/CD/DVD.

If you can deal with surface mount, upgrade the output analog opamps, bypass the caps and I'm told it competes with 5K CDP's. If you have passive preamp, imagine a 2 ohm output impedance with Borbely VFET buffers and screw the opamps.
