Underwood HiFi Cables

Was wondering if any of you folks have any thoughts on/experience with Underwood HiFi’s line of cables. I grabbed a pair of “gold series” interconnects with my new DAC, as Walter offered them at half price with my purchase. The website is pretty sparse on details regarding composition/geometry/specs, and all I have to compare them to are some garbage generic patch cables.

I received a Gold power cord with an EquiCore purchase. I compared it with a couple of my very expensive name brand PCs and it's very good quality.
I suspect Walter hired a manufacturer (possibly in China due to the low price) to produce cables for him.

Those gold power cables certainly look the business
I also just got the gold cable bundled with an Equi=core 600. It's the first good power cable I've purchased so I can't compare with other after-market cables but it seems exceptionally well made. So much so that I just ordered two more from Walter, who is fantastic to deal with.
Fantastic power cable. I have so many cables but I would buy again in a heartbeat.
It's powering a Equi=Core 1800 with DeepCore 1800.
I'm eager to try a power cable he graciously included with my recent purchase of a Black Ice Fusion F22 integrated.
The power cable looks suspiciously like some of the inexpensive cables found on Amazon from China.

We're talking about the Gold series. I'm sure all the cables are from China.
I think we need to see the internal of the power cord.  It's possible Underwood may be using some fancy marketing terminology, but underneath it's just like any other power cords.  Investing in the engineering to design a good power cord is not something one can take lightly.
Before Equi=Core was bought out by Underwood, they were selling power cords that were revealed to be straight re-brands from China, available on Amazon.  Back in the day, someone pointed it out in one of the threads about the company and the then owner.
Mediocre cables at cheap prices ill pass.

I guess this is why the audio cable industry has gotten a bad name.  There are a few bad apples that ruin the whole industry.  (Well hopefully just a few).
