Turntable recommendation for a new guy

Hello all. New to this forum but been hanging around and learning for a while. I recently was able to spend some time with a friend who introduced me to the world of vinyl and turntables. Was hooked after that. I now want to get a turntable of my own to add to my sound system. So far I have done alot of research and think i have narrowed it down to two tables that are within my budget for now. I have located an opened box but brand new Rega Planar 2 (full warranty) for $499.  I have also located a used but what appears to be in great condition Music Hall MMF 5.1 (1 year warranty) for $450. Have not decided on a phono amp yet. Whatever table I get will be played through Infinity Kappa 600 tower speakers and a Yamaha dual 8" sub. Which table would be the better purchase for the money? Feel free to throw in other suggestions as well near this price point. I am brand new to the game and will take all the help I can get. Thank you all.

Just for clarity, can you tell us if both of the tables you've mentioned have a cartridge included at that price?
Sorry about that. yes both tables have the stock cartridges included. For the music hall I believe that is the Magic 3 and the Rega has the Carbon.
Go for the Rega. With a Rega table you have a fantastic arm that is worth almost the price of the table.

You can always upgrade latter by taking the arm off the table and moving to another table.
