Tube Preamp and W4S Question

Hi All,

Need some advice.

I have Maggie 3.6’s with a W4S amp, Ric Schultz modified Oppo105, and W4S preamp.

The sound is very detailed but frankly a little bit on the sterile side.

I have tried a Prima Luna Prologue tube preamp and thought that it warmed, livened, things up nicely but I lost some resolution in the process.

Does anybody have any suggestions regarding a tubed preamp synergy with W4S amps?

I would prefer a preamp with separate power supply.
