tube noise coming right from the tube

Hi, I recently got a decware zen triode amp (tried to ask in the decware forum but it won't let me register) The big tube seems to be making a ringing type noise that I can hear when the music is off at first I thought it was coming out of the speakers but it's right from the tube.  It's not super loud but I can easily hear it when the music is not playing.  Would this be considered normal?  Anything that can be done about it, maybe those tube rings I've seen.  It's the rectifier tube also maybe worth noting that tube seemed to not be working at all when I first tried to power up the amp.  IT didn't light up and no sound from he amp.  I wiggled it out and put back in and then it worked on the second try.

I have the same amp (SE84UFO) and no, it's not normal. How much time do you have on the tube?
curious to know what rectifier it is... i would wager it is a russian or chinese new production 5ar4 or 5u4... those things are just horrible - 12 dollar p-o-s that will put your amp at risk
Sounds like a bad, brand new, rectifier tube.        Possibly: a cold solder joint or loose contact, in the tube socket.
ejlif, I have/had the same issue with the Decware, it is the tube.I swapped the tube to my preamp and the ringing was now at the preamp. Tube rings may help, If I hold the tube the ringing stops. Also seems to come and go while using amp. Yes this tube is an
Elecrtro Harmonix 5u4. So Try another tube, hope this helps you.
