If you have not figured out proper setting, adjust even with record. Lowering cartridge will increase bass reduce highs increasing height will decrease bass. I run at 2 grams but 1.8 also sounds great.
Transfiguration Spirit 3
Has anybody got a Transfiguration Spirit Mk3,I think I am being driven mental in trying to determine the best VTA.I currently have it set so the cartridge body is very slightly raised at the rear with the stylus tip pointing slightly forward .This appears to give the best results.
I believe that cartridges are supposed to be fitted dropped back slightly to facilitate the maximum coil output.The deck is a Super Scoutmaster with Signature tonearm.Hyperion speakers and DK Design MK 2 Amp.
